Jaimi
Owner/Senior Stylist
Jaimi has been in the industry for 15 years, coming from a family of hairdressers she spent the early years of her career at her Mum’s salon in Yarraville. Wanting to branch out she moved to London for two years working as a freelance hair and makeup artist at 5 star hotels and private residence.
Upon returning home she worked at some leading salons in Melbourne before setting the goal of opening her own space. Her love of extensions started after her she had her first set applied in her late teens, it sparked the need to learn every method and technique there was available. The love and joy she gets out of giving her clients the full make-over of colour and hair extensions is priceless which is how Jaimi & Co Hair Extensions was born.
A highlight in Jaimi’s career was working freelance in London and having the opportunity to style celebrities such as Lisa Maree Presley and the daughter of the late Vidal Sassoon, Eden Sassoon.
When Jaimi is not in the salon she enjoys spending time with her little fur babies Bonnie & Clyde [who you may have seen or heard in the salon]. Jaimi is about to go off on maternity leave for a couple of months to have her first baby. But don’t worry, it won’t be long until she is back and ready to make you feel fabulous again!
Desiree
Senior Stylist
Desiree has been in the industry for 9 years, originally from Adelaide and coming over to Melbourne midway through 2021. She trained and worked at a leading salon in Adelaide coming to us with a wealth of skill and knowledge in all aspects of hairdressing. Specialising in tape extensions, she really enjoys giving her clients a makeover from start to finish.
A highlight in Desiree’s career was working at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2017 with designer Alice McCall. She loved seeing the style she created come to life with makeup and styling walking down the runway.
When Desiree is not in the salon she loves going to eat at the latest cafes and restaurants, discovering what Melbourne has to offer.
Shanade
Administration Coordinator
Shanade works behind the scenes at Jaimi & Co and has been professionally organising and coordinating for 15 years, majority of her corporate career was spent in logistics. Her love of organising, crunching numbers and reporting makes everything run seamlessly.
Fun fact, Jaimi and Shanade are sisters! Outside of Jaimi & Co Shanade also helps run their mums salon, Salon Fresh in Yarraville. And if that isn’t enough she also has 3 little boys that she runs around after (most likely where her organisation comes from).
Shanade is super friendly and will always go above and beyond to cater to each and every client’s needs when booking appointments. And she is our token baby holder for all the Mumma’s who need to get their hair done with baby in tow.
